I live in the Fort Worth, Texas area, but there are days when I wonder if I woke up in Mexico.  Every where I look Spanish, Spanish, Spanish.  The billboards, store signs, bank signage, you name it.  I really do not understand.  I mean if I were Hispanic I would be insulted that I was the only ethnic group that needs everything translated for me.  I mean really, do you see signs in German, Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, etc.?  You know that other countries would never put up with this, you either assimilate or leave.  Don’t get me wrong, I know that immigrants are what made this country great.  My great grandparents came through Ellis Island, but they learned the language.  They did what they needed to do to become legal and become a part of this great nation, but they were still able to keep their heritage.  They still had their areas that were dedicated to their culture, but they didn’t expect everyone to conform to them.  I mean if you don’t love this country enough to do what you need to, to become legal, to assimilate, to be an American, then maybe you need to go back home.  Till next time…

I haven’t talked about bras or the “girls” for a bit and thought it was time to write a new blog on the subject.  The other day I was contemplating whether you could transform a back hook bra you like into a front hook.  As my wrists are getting harder to deal with trying to hook and unhook a back hook bra is just getting harder and harder.  I find myself stuck in my bra more often than not.  I was wondering if you could split the front, add support fabric and then add hooks.  I got to looking though at the support mechanism of a bra, my custom fitted are built kind of like a cantilever bridge, and if you change the area of support then you lose the ability to hold up the girls.  My problem is they just don’t make a good front hook bra for us big girls, at least not that I have found.  Oh well, I feel sorry for any bra I wear, as it sure has its work cut out for it.  LOL.  Till next time…

I had to laugh today while I was at a local store.  This elderly man had walked in before me with a sack from a local fast food joint.  He gave it and a drink to one of the cashiers and started a conversation with her.  He kept telling her how pretty she was and how she always was pretty.  He was laying it on thick.  I figure the lady early 40s and the man probably in his 70s.  I got to thinking it does not matter what age the guy is, guys never change.  She thanked him for his generosity, but you could tell she was being nice, but really was ready for him to leave.  This did not seem to deter him though, as when I left he was still “flirting” with her.  Till next time….

The other day while driving down the road I noticed a billboard advertising adult baby-sitters/caretakers.  This got me to thinking how the cycle of life really does go full circle.  When we are babies we need some one to make sure we are feed, clean and clothed.  When you become elderly you normally need the same thing.  Children have problems communicating because they do not know the words yet, elderly have trouble because they no longer remember the right words.  It is kind of a sad thought to realize that one day that most everyone will need someone to care for them, whether it be relatives or a nursing home.  Hmmm, what a depression thought.  Till next time….

The other night I posted on Facebook my opinion of Obama’s speech. My point was he talks a great game (proved that by getting elected) but I really felt a lot of what he said was BS that would never get done. I was very nice in my comments, but ended up with a guy telling me how wrong I was and he deleted me as a friend. He said my posts made me sound angry and bitter and he didn’t want friends like that. Hmmm, for those who know me I am pretty laid back and easy going. I guess the older I get the grumpier I appear. I thought in the USA we had the freedom to express ourselves. I had some other friends defend me, but I really don’t understand why they had to. Oh well, I really could not remember who the guy was as I have bunches of FB friends that I have no clue who they are other than we are the same high school graduating class. I keep most of them as friends as I need them as neighbors on some of the FB games … LOL. At least on my blog if you don’t like what I say you can just close the page or comment before you go. Till next time…
